Please read these terms before using Seek. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

1. What Seek is

Seek is a personal prayer app. It writes prayers based on what you tell it about your life, reads them aloud, offers daily scripture, and keeps a gratitude journal and a record of answered prayers.

2. Prayers are generated by software

Seek’s prayers are written by artificial intelligence, guided by rules we set. They are not written, reviewed, or approved in advance by a pastor, priest, counselor, or any member of clergy, and they are not a statement of doctrine from any church or denomination.

We aim for the content to be faithful to Scripture and have built substantial safeguards toward that end, but generated text can be wrong. Test what you read against the Bible and your own church community. Scripture quotations in the app are from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.

3. Seek is not professional advice or crisis support

Seek does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care or for pastoral counseling.

If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number immediately. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Seek is not monitored, and no one reads what you write in the app.

4. Your content

Anything you write or photograph in Seek belongs to you. It is stored on your device, and we do not claim ownership of it. You are responsible for what you enter. Please don’t put in anything unlawful, or anyone else’s private information that you don’t have the right to share.

To generate a prayer, you give us permission to send the setup details you provided to our prayer-generation service and its AI provider for the sole purpose of writing that prayer, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation

Seek offers an auto-renewable subscription.

• The subscription begins with a free trial period where offered. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
• The price and billing period are shown in the app before you purchase and are charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel at any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the app under Settings → Manage Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms; we cannot issue them directly.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not reverse-engineer the app, use it to build a competing service, attempt to overload or abuse our prayer-generation service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access to the generation service where necessary to prevent abuse.

7. Availability

We work to keep Seek running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Prayer generation depends on third-party services. If generation is unavailable, the app continues to work using prayers composed on your device.

8. Disclaimers and limits

Seek is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Seek is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country that cannot be limited by agreement.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and note it in the app. Continuing to use Seek after a change means you accept the updated terms.
